Centro Histórico, Getsemaní Calle 24 #8A-344 Cartagena de Indias , Colombia

The Cartagena de Indias Convention Center located in the heart of Cartagena just a short walk to the vibrant old historic city center is the host venue of the 28th International Congress for Conservation Biology.

The center boasts more than 30 years of experience as one of the most important convention centers and congress venues in South America. The project for the center was proposed in 1978 by the Ministery of Commerce, Industry and Tourism as a mechanism to generate regional development hubs through the planning of congresses, events and conventions. Since its opening in 1982, the center has held some of the most significant events for Colombia including the G8 Summit in 1994, the IV Conference of Heads of States of Iberoamerica in 2000 and the IV Congreso Colombiano de Zoologia in 2014 with more than 3,000 participants.
