Affiliate Publications

In conjunction with our mission, SCB partners with publications that supplement our own journals by providing additional resources in conservation science. Affiliate publications are offered to members at discounted rates when they join the Society or renew their membership.

Pacific Conservation Biology is dedicated to conservation and wildlife management in the Pacific region. The journal provides a forum for discussion of  regional conservation problems; debate about priorities and mechanisms for conservation-oriented biological research; and dissemination relevant research. Emphasis is placed on making clear the management implications of presented research, which is applicable far beyond the Pacific region. Readership includes biologists, wildlife managers, government and administrators of conservation NGOs. More on Pacific Conservation Biology.

Biological Conservation publishes articles spanning a range of fields that contribute to the biological, sociological, and economic dimensions of conservation and natural resource management. Its coverage of interdisciplinary topics within conservation biology is highly relevant to scientists at NGOs and academic and research institutions as well as land/resource managers and policy makers. It is concerned with plants and animals and their habitats in a changing and increasingly human–dominated biosphere. More on Biological Conservation.

More on SCB Affiliate Publications

You may subscribe to affiliate publications when you join SCB or renew your membership in SCB. All of our affiliates are annual. This means that your subscription is filled for an entire year; if you subscribe in March you will be sent all previous issues and then new ones as they come out. We will report your order to the publisher on a set schedule determined by the Executive Office. This could mean some delay between the time your order is placed and the arrival of your first issue and any back issues. If you have any questions, please email our Membership Department.

SCB does not track expiration of your affiliate publications. As much as we would like to offer all conveniences to our members, sometimes we cannot. Members are responsible for renewing their affiliates each year as they see fit and may do so from their member home page.

Biodiversity Science, a Sister Publication to Conservation Biology

Biodiversity Science is an academic journal in China that specifically addresses the issues of biodiversity and the only one which comprehensively reports the achievements in the field of biodiversity research, aiming to enhance information exchange between Chinese and international scholars. The audience covers environmentalists, conservationists, botanists, marine scientists, ecologists, and biologists. Every paper has been strictly peer-reviewed before acceptance.

Both Biodiversity Science and Conservation Biology serve the objective of providing innovative, excellent, peer reviewed science to support the conservation and management of biodiversity, in all its geographic domains and encompassing all taxa. The editors of both journals recommend manuscripts from both journals to their readers, because of these common goals and interests..
