SCB is proud to announce Lauren Bailey as the new development coordinator. A conservation biologist, her background includes research in avian communities, pollinators and natural enemies, and invasive and endangered species. Lauren has experience conducting field research in several habitat types, and has previously held positions as a wildlife biologist and ecologist. She has also worked as an Urban Park Ranger for the City of New York and as an adjunct professor at Lansing Community College. Lauren earned a BA in Anthropology from New York University, and a MS in Wildlife Management from Michigan State University. Most recently, she worked as a conservation coordinator at The Nature Conservancy’s Michigan chapter.
Lauren will coordinate SCB's fundraising efforts and organize sponsorship processes for Society meetings.
