Crafting a clear message to communicate your science!
This skill-building session will help students to better communicate their insights to a wide variety of non-scientist audiences. Using a tool called the Message Box, students will learn to translate their work into a clear and concise message that will resonate with their chosen audience. This is a lunchtime skill-building session put on by the science outreach specialists at COMPASS, Faciliator: Matthew Wright, Communication Partnership for Science and the Sea (COMPASS)
Student Lunch- DUE TO AN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE, THIS EVENT IS FULL! OUR APOLOGIES This lunch event honors our plenary speakers and offers students a chance to meet the speakers on a more personal level, and learn more about their life contributions to the marine communicty in an informal setting. Admission to this event is free, but pre-registration is required. (sponsored by the SCB Marine Section)

Student Pub Crawl- DUE TO AN OVERWHELMING RESPONSE, THIS EVENT IS FULL! OUR APOLOGIES
Come and join us to relax! Complimentary for students, $10 for others (to go to the international student/delegate travel fund) The Student Pub Crawl will provide students with an opportunity to network with fellow students from around the world in a casual, informal setting. Students will need to pay for their own refreshments.
