Travel grants for delegates from low-income countries
The SCB Marine travel grants seek to support diverse representation at IMCC6 and participation of all involved in marine conservation globally. Travel grants are available to support attendance and participation at IMCC6 and/or Oceans Online.
The number of grants is determined by our ability to raise funds and through the size of the individual grants offered. Individual grant totals are predicted to range between 200-3000€.

- Residential status of a low-income countries (as defined by the World Bank) or the UNESCO List of Small Island Developing States (SIDS; excluding Singapore), or members of indigenous communities in any country. Applicants must be a citizen of or currently a long-term resident of the country/region. If you are from an underserved community that is not listed, please put your justification in the comments section. Researchers from a non-qualified region who conduct research in a qualified region are not eligible.
After forwarding your abstract submission confirmation email to firstname.lastname@example.org to indicate your interest in being considered for a travel grant, please finalize your travel grant application by filling in this application form, describing the importance of your contribution to marine conservation as well as your motivation to attend IMCC6. We also need an estimate of your travel costs.
In addition to the application form, please send a reference letter to support your application. This reference letter should be no longer than one page and should outline why you are a good candidate for an IMCC6 travel award and how attendance at IMCC6 will benefit you.
Please email the reference letter to email@example.com and confirm in your email that you have submitted the online form. The deadline to complete these two steps is the 15 April 2020. Travel grant applications submitted after this deadline will not be considered.
After the decisions on abstract acceptance are made, we will review all application forms and travel grant awardees will be notified shortly after this. Applicants will be notified of the outcome prior to the early bird deadline for registration.
