LACA Region Mentoring Program (In Development)

The Latin America and Caribbean (LACA) section of the Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) is excited to announce the upcoming Mentoring Program LACA. As one of the most biodiverse regions in the world, LACA faces unique conservation challenges that require innovative, collaborative solutions. Recognizing the need to strengthen skills and knowledge sharing among members, the program is being designed to foster one-on-one or group mentoring relationships between students, researchers, and professionals from diverse organizations. Through this program, we aim to connect individuals across the region, build capacity, and enhance the conservation community's collective impact.

While the program is still in the design phase, we encourage interested members to stay informed and prepare for its launch. Once active, participants will work on targeted projects, build meaningful relationships, and contribute to skill development and the creation of a strong, collaborative culture in conservation.
