Subject: Effective Conservation Translocations Workshop

CPSG is excited to be co-facilitating a four-day workshop on Effective Conservation Translocations, November 10-13 2018 hosted by Lincoln Park Zoo. The workshop takes place in advance of the 2nd International Wildlife Reintroduction Conference, November 13-16, 2018.

The workshop will train participants how to design and manage the complexities surrounding conservation translocations in terms of multi-stakeholder interests, biological uncertainties, and risk. Conservation biologists and managers are encouraged to apply.

About the 2nd International Wildlife Reintroduction Conference

Lincoln Park Zoo in partnership with the International Union for the Conservation of Nature’s (IUCN) Reintroduction Specialist Group (RSG) will host the 2nd International Wildlife Reintroduction Conference during Nov. 13-16, 2018.  The Conference will bring together top experts in the field to focus on the evolving science of reintroduction and discuss "lessons learned", identify scientific processes that improve effectiveness and build a culture of innovation of theoretical and applied research on wildlife reintroduction and other conservation translocations.
