Smith Fellows Program Welcomes New Program Manager
We are thrilled to announce Laura Yates as our new Smith Fellows Program Manager! Besides her impressive background and experience, Laura brings a warm and engaging energy, and a very genuine excitement and enthusiasm. We are so excited to have her on the team and can't wait for you all to meet and work with her.
Laura comes to us with experience in the Fellowship world, having spent 8 years with the Byron Fellowship sustainability leadership program. After participating in the program as a Fellow, she joined the staff to help grow the program into a vibrant community of collaborative alumni with a global reach, and became Program Director in 2018. Laura has spent most of her career in consulting and project management, independently working on a variety of projects from climate communication to agricultural resilience planning and most recently, through consulting work in the leadership and culture space as co-founder of Mobius Method. Laura did her undergraduate work in economics and global sustainability, and received a dual Masters in Public Affairs and Environmental Science from Indiana University School of Public & Environmental Affairs, focused on policy analysis and environmental resilience at the community level.
