About ICCB 2025

SCB's International Congress for Conservation Biology is the largest global meeting for addressing conservation challenges and presenting the latest in conservation research and practice. 

ICCB attendees include conservation and social science researchers, students, practitioners, government and NGO professionals, policy specialists, leaders from indigenous groups and faith-based organizations, and other conservation stakeholders. 

ICCB also convenes conservation organizations and foundations as well as businesses in the conservation sector for project planning, retreats, and collaborations. 

With more than ~1,200 conservation professionals and students, ICCB 2025 will be the major networking event for anyone interested in conservation. 

In 2025, it will be hosted by the SCB Oceania Region and held in Brisbane/Meanjin, Australia from June 15-19, 2025. 

In 2023, it was held in Kigali, Rwanda from July 23-27 at the Kigali Convention Centre (KCC). 

ICCB 2025 Important Dates

Here are the important ICCB 2025 dates to make note of:

  • Call for symposia, forums, workshops and training courses - Closed
  • Call for abstracts - Now open
  • Early bird registration opens - by the end of November 2024
  • Deadline for abstract submissions - February 2025
  • Early bird registration closes - April 2025
  • Regular registration opens - April 2025
  • Proposals for simple workshops and mixers opens - April 2025
