Science Comedy Night
We are bringing Science Comedy to the International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB) in 2025! The Science Comedy Program helps academics and scientists connect with audiences, advance their careers, help master public speaking, and is a LOT OF FUN!
The program involves a series of workshops – including 1:1 workshops with public speaking trainers and comedians – followed by a 10-minute talk that’s 80% science and 20% humour. The program has run at major festivals across nearly 20 cities in 2024 alone, and we are excited to bring this unique science communication platform to ICCB.

If you are interested in participating, please submit an expression of interest for a program in a city near you. If you are interested in completing the program in your home city and taking the stage for Science Comedy at ICCB, let us know by getting in touch with SCBO. We will select a final line up for ICCB early next year to showcase a wide variety of topics and conservation professionals, as this event will be open to both the public and conference attendees.
