Finance and Investment Committee
Introduction
The Finance and Investment Committee shall oversee all aspects of Society finances, including oversight of the Board Designated Reserve, review of annual budgets, and all financial practices.

Terms of Reference
The Finance and Investment Committee shall oversee all aspects of Society finances, including oversight of the Board Designated Reserve, review of annual budgets, and all financial practices. This committee will work with staff on budget development and implementation by providing advice and review from the perspective of board priorities and good financial practice. The committee shall make recommendations to the Board of Governors board on adopting the annual budget and on the Society’s financial position throughout the year, including recommendations for changes during the year. The Committee may appoint subcommittees as it deems appropriate, but shall report to the Board of Governors as a committee. The Finance and Investment Committee will be chaired by the Treasurer. The Committee shall consist of 3-5 persons nominated by the Chair, in consultation with the President and the Board. 1-2 persons on the committee may be from outside of the Board of Governors and who bring financial expertise.
