About CACNepal 2026
The Society for Conservation Biology – Asia Section (SCB Asia), SCB Nepal Chapter, and the Burhan Community Regeneration and Conservation Foundation (BCRCF) are pleased to welcome you to Kathmandu, Nepal, for the 6th Conservation Asia Congress (CACNepal 2026).
Taking place from 3–5 June 2026, with workshops on 1 & 2 June, at the Hotel Yak & Yeti, a heritage hotel located in Durbar Marg, the thriving city center of the Kathmandu Valley. This location holds immense historical significance: it was there where, 21 years ago, SCB held its first-ever Regional Congress!. We are honored to return to this landmark venue to celebrate over two decades of conservation progress in Asia.
CAC Nepal 2026 will bring together over 500 conservation professionals, practitioners, policymakers, community leaders, artists, students, and journalists. The Congress will showcase research, experiences, and practical tools that highlight effective and innovative conservation approaches from across Asia.
Under the theme “Harmonising Biodiversity and Human Well-being in Asia,” CACNepal 2026 will be the premier networking event for the Asian conservation community, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation for the future of conservation in the region.
