About CACNepal 2026

The Society for Conservation Biology – Asia Section (SCB Asia), SCB Nepal Chapter, and the Burhan Community Regeneration and Conservation Foundation (BCRCF) are pleased to welcome you to Kathmandu, Nepal, for the 6th Conservation Asia Congress (CACNepal 2026).

Taking place from 3-5 June 2026, with workshops on June 2 at the Royal Tulip Kathmandu, the congress will bring together over 500 conservation professionals, practitioners, policymakers, community leaders, artists, students, and journalists. This vibrant gathering will showcase research, lessons, and tools that highlight successful conservation practices across Asia.

Under the theme “Harmonising Biodiversity and Human Well-being in Asia,” CACNepal 2026 will be the premier networking event for the Asian conservation community, fostering dialogue, collaboration, and innovation for the future of conservation in the region.

 

Partnering for Conservation

CACNepal 2026 is a partnership between the SCB Asia Section and the Burhan Community Regeneration and Conservation Foundation (BCRCF). 

SCB Asia Region

The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB) serves as the premier international membership society for professionals, students and nonprofits dedicated to advancing the science and practice of conserving biodiversity, with nearly 600 members from across Asia.

SCB Nepal Chapter

The Society for Conservation Biology Nepal Chapter (SCB Nepal) is a professional organization serving as Nepal’s national chapter of the Society for Conservation Biology. SCB Nepal envisions a society that understands, values, and conserves the country’s rich biological diversity. Through networking, collaboration, capacity building, and knowledge exchange, the Chapter works to advance the mission of SCB and strengthen conservation science and practice across Nepal.

Burhan Community Regeneration and Conservation Foundation

Burhan Community Regeneration and Conservation Foundation (BCRCF) champions community-led conservation rooted in justice, culture, and sustainability. Its mission is to empower local communities to protect nature, reduce human-wildlife conflict, preserve Indigenous heritage, influence policy, and build sustainable livelihoods through conservation-driven enterprise.

 


CACNepal 2026 Key Dates

Registration opens: January 2026.

Deadline for submissions: 20 January 2026 (symposia/ workshop sessions/ full oral talks/ speed talks/ poster presentations).

Final Selection Announcements:  20 February 2026 (accepted symposia/ workshop sessions/ full oral talks/speed talks/ poster presentations).

Deadline for invited speakers in accepted symposia: 20 March 2026.
