Participatory Mural

Recognizing environmental education as an effective tool for fostering Pro-environmental behaviors and preparing individuals for the challenges of sustainability, a mural will be created during the IV Conservation Biology Congress - LACA, to be held in Quito, Ecuador. This mural will reflect the hopes and visions for conservation of one of Ecuador's many ecosystems.

This time, the mangrove forest will be represented, showcasing a small portion of the unique biodiversity of this ecosystem, which is also the cultural and vital space for mestizo, cholo, and Afro-Ecuadorian fishers. The theme of our congress, "Weaving Together the Paths of Conservation," served as the inspiration for this mural, inviting all participants, speakers, researchers, bio-entrepreneurs, and visitors to actively contribute to its creation.

This activity will transform into a space for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and perspectives on the pathways that must be built for a sustainable, dignified, and balanced future.
