Latin America and Caribbean Congress for Conservation Biology

The Society for Conservation Biology – Latin America and Caribbean Region (SCB-LACA) is excited to announce that the 5th LACA will take place in the city of Porto Alegre, Brasil from 3-7 November, 2026 with theme From Ocean to Land: Conservation as a Whole.  Join us as we engage experts, communities, and NGO´s from all over the region to discuss conservation. 

LACA 2026 will convene a vibrant conservation academic community, local community leaders, practitioners, policymakers, national protected area authorities, artists, students, and journalists to share research, lessons and tools learned over the years that showcase successful conservation practices in Latin America and the Caribbean.
