Only a few minutes’ walk from the SECC, the four-star Crown Plaza Glasgow overlooks the River Clyde and is the closest hotel to our venue. It has a leisure club with a pool and spa, as well as a maritime-inspired restaurant and bar. Each bedroom has air conditioning, a cable TV with pay movies and a minibar. Some rooms have a sitting area, while all have 24 hour room service and city or river views. Only a short walk across the Bell's Bridge from the SECC, the brand new Premier Inn Glasgow Pacific Quay is situated on the banks of the River Clyde. The new hotel features new generation bedrooms, with a 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, king-size Hypnos bed. Hilton Garden Inn |
The Hilton Garden Inn sits on the bank of the River Clyde just two minutes’ walk from the SECC. The 3 star Campanile Glasgow is within five minutes walking distance of the SECC and the new Scottish Hydro Arena. There is free parking, free Wi-Fi and two train stations close by. This 4-star hotel is in Glasgow city centre, just a five minute train ride from the SECC. If you're walking from the Marriott to the conference, it'll take you around 20-minutes, but it's a lovely walk, along the walkway at the River Clyde. This modern hotel has large, air-conditioned rooms each with luxury bedding, a work desk, and a large flat-screen TV with pay movies. There's also an indoor pool, steam room, sauna, gym and health & beauty spa. The American-style Source restaurant offers international cuisine and fine wine. Accommodations near Pre- and Post-Congress Events
For those attending pre- or post-Congress events being held at the University of Glasgow, Booking.com provides a list of accommodations near the university. These accomoodations, however, may not be near the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC), where the main IMCC3 Scientific Program will be held 14-18 August. Please check the distance to the SECC and transportation options.
Student Housing
There will be a limited number or dorm rooms available at University of Glasgow starting in January 2014. These accommodations tend to fill up quickly, so reserve student housing early.
Individual delegates can make their own student accommodation reservations via the University’s Residential Services online booking system. Please also note, it is not possible to pre-book a block of rooms with this service—each booking is made made purely on a subject-to-availability basis.
