The 8th International Marine Conservation Congress

IMCC8, hosted by the Global Marine Program of the Society for Conservation Biology, will take place in Edinburgh, Scotland, from November 13-17, 2026 at the Edinburgh International Conference Center (EICC). Join us to help Make Marine Science Matter!

To conserve our oceans, we need all hands on deck—researchers working alongside policymakers, ocean users, and resource managers. At the International Marine Conservation Congress (IMCC), this global community comes together to share research, tools, and lessons learned that advance marine science, policy, and practice. With over 800 delegates, IMCC is the world’s largest gathering dedicated to ocean conservation, bringing together scientists and practitioners, including regulators, fishers, educators, artists, students, journalists, and more.
