Call for abstracts for the ECCB2018
Call for abstracts for ECCB2018 is now closed. Thank you for your contribution!
The Scientific Committee of ECCB2018 is soliciting abstracts for contributed talks and posters as well as for talks in the approved symposia and workshops.
Note that you have the option of having two presentations of the same research, an oral presentation and a poster. For oral presentations early in the program, this gives an opportunity to meet interested audience again at your poster and continue discussions beyond the oral's short Q&A timeslot. For oral presentations late in the program, this gives an opportunity to advertise your session and attract interested audience. To choose this option, just tick ‘Oral+Poster’ in the submission system.
Please note that the abstracts are limited to 3000 characters including spaces.
Contributed talks and posters
Abstracts for contributed talks and posters can be submitted on any aspect related to conservation biology. We do not discriminate abstracts based on the scientific discipline as long as there is some link to conservation or sustainability science or practice, importance of biodiversity or nature for human wellbeing or to the planetary wellbeing in the broadest sense. Talks will be 15 minutes in total including 3 minutes for questions. Total length of the abstract is 3000 characters with a maximum of 3 numbered key references.
All abstracts will be peer reviewed, in the Peerage of Science system. Note that at least the presenting author, and ideally all co-authors, are expected to peer review at least two other abstract submissions to the conference.
All peer reviewed abstracts are automatically issued a DOI and published in University of Jyväskylä's JYX - Open Access repository as peer-reviewed research products, unless declined by you. You have the option to decline the publication in the submission system.
If you are an author in an approved symposium or workshop, the organizer of your symposium will send you a dedicated submission link. Do NOT use the general submission link below.
To submit an abstract, please go to Peerage of Science ECCB2018 abstract submission system.
To edit your submission afterwards, log in to your Peerage of Science account and look in ‘My Manuscripts’. If you do not have an account yet, first click Sign Up and complete registration. Submissions can be freely edited until 31st of January 2018, whereupon the call closes.
If you have questions about your submission or accessing your account please contact support@peerageofscience.org.
For organizers of approved symposia and workshops
A dedicated abstract submission page has been created for each of the approved symposium and workshop (collectively ‘Session’). If your session proposal was accepted, you should now log in to your Peerage of Science account and look in ‘My Manuscripts’ to access your Session submission. If you do not have an account yet, first click Sign Up and complete registration. Go to your submission, and see the dedicated link right below the ECCB 2018 logo. Please email this link to each of the speakers in your session so that they can send an abstract for your session. Do not distribute the link outside your session as each session has a unique submission link. You can also edit the title and contents of your session proposal.
