The SCB Members Meeting is a gathering for the SCB community where we focus on the business of SCB, strategic issues facing the Society, and future directions foreseen by the membership, the board of governors, and staff. Attendees engage with the board of governors and staff and learn about SCB's current work, mission, vision, structure, and strategies. It's an opportunity to learn what SCB can do for you, how you can contribute to the goals and mission of SCB and help promote the implementation of its activities to advance the science and practice of conserving Earth's biological diversity.

There are two parts to the SCB Members Meeting. The first part will cover the business of SCB. The second part focuses on member engagement, including discussion on the strategic initiatives of SCB and its implementation plan, the work of the Asia Section of SCB, and opportunities to get involved.

Israel Borokini asks a question of the SCB Board of Governors at the 2015 SCB Members Meeting in Montpellier, France. The Members Meeting is also a chance to celebrate successes. In 2015, the Society honored several members for their achievements in conservation.

The 2017 SCB Members Meeting will take place at ICCB 2017 in Cartagena, Colombia (23-27 July 2017).
