Showcase Your Talent: Conservation Letters Cover Contest!

Here’s your chance to showcase your talent and make an impact!

Conservation Letters is dedicated to publishing groundbreaking research and innovations in conservation science that influence policy and management worldwide. With a focus on short, engaging articles and reviews, we aim to captivate a global audience by addressing the most pressing challenges in conservation. Our topics span the breadth of people, nature, and human-nature interactions.

Now, we’re inviting YOU to shape the visual identity of Conservation Letters as we transition to a single iconic cover image under Wiley’s new continuous publication schedule.

Enter the Conservation Letters Cover Contest

We’re searching for high-quality, visually compelling designs that embody the mission of Conservation Letters. This is not a traditional photo competition – we’re looking for artistic representations that reflect the essence of conservation science. While photos are welcome, we encourage hand-designed, stylized art that is more abstract and conceptual, rather than tied to any one specific ecosystem or context. We are open to graphic art in any form that might be suitable for a cover design. This could, for example, include photographs of original paintings or pencil sketches; hand-drawn images or abstract designs using digital media; photographs of sculptures, textiles, or collages; photographs of conservation-related content; or photomontages and photomosaics. The cover should evoke the broad themes of conservation science, including:

  • Ecological and human diversity.
  • Nature’s contributions to people and their value to society.
  • The beauty of the natural world, in both human-dominated and untouched landscapes.
  • The practice of science.
  • Connections between biodiversity conservation and society.

Don’t worry if you’re unsure of what to submit – we’ll know it when we see it! Please look at recent issues of the journal to see how the cover is typically laid out as well as the range of topics that we cover.
