Affiliate Publications

In conjunction with our mission, SCB partners with publications that supplement our own journals by providing additional resources in conservation science. Affiliate publications are offered to members at discounted rates when they join the Society or renew their membership.

Current Conservation works with scientists, science writers, and artists across the world to tell written and visual stories from the field of conservation in a manner that engages both scientific and non-scientific audiences. They believe in a philosophy of pluralism in how we carry out conservation, as well as how communicate it. CC serves the larger conservation community, wildlife enthusiasts and younger readers who are interested in nature. They aim to expand this reach at a global level to facilitate communication within this community and draw in those at the edges of our field. More on Current Conservation.

We encourage everyone to contribute to Current Conservation Magazine. For submissions and editorial enquiries, please go here. They are currently looking for Handling Editors. Learn more.

We held a Science Communication for Biodiversity Conservation Panel to celebrate this partnership. Watch it here.

The journal provides a forum for discussion of regional conservation problems; debate about priorities and mechanisms for conservation-oriented biological research; and dissemination relevant research. Emphasis is placed on making clear the management implications of presented research, which is applicable far beyond the Pacific region. More on SCB Affiliate Publications

You may subscribe to affiliate publications when you join SCB or renew your membership in SCB. All of our affiliates are annual. This means that your subscription is filled for an entire year; if you subscribe in March you will be sent all previous issues and then new ones as they come out. We will report your order to the publisher on a set schedule determined by the Executive Office. This could mean some delay between the time your order is placed and the arrival of your first issue and any back issues. If you have any questions, please email our Membership Department.

SCB does not track expiration of your affiliate publications. As much as we would like to offer all conveniences to our members, sometimes we cannot. Members are responsible for renewing their affiliates each year as they see fit and may do so from their member home page.
