Global Programs
The Society is comprised of Regions, Global Programs, Chapters, topical Working Groups and our members. Each of these vitally important groups has its own Board who work to forward the SCB Mission, expand their reach, and maximize their impacts, both individually and collectively.
Global Programs
Global Programs are formal, globally scoped programs that evolve from existing SCB groups—such as Working Groups—with a demonstrated track record of strong leadership, broad engagement across the SCB network, and sustained impact. They focus on thematic areas of global significance aligned with SCB’s mission. Global Programs are embedded in the Society's global governance with representation on the SCB Global Network Board through their standing officer role within the Program Council
SCB currently has 1 Global Program, the Marine Program. We will be adding more Global Programs in the coming years.
