Iran Chapter
About
The Iran Chapter was established as an official SCB chapter in October 2016 at the Faculty of Natural Resources, University of Kurdistan and aims to enhance scientific collaboration and interaction between the academic, non-governmental, and governmental conservation practitioners at the national, regional and international level, work on national conservation issues to protect unique and rich biodiversity in Iran. The Chapter plans to grow its membership by encouraging student and conservation professionals to join the group. The Chapter is working to establish training and conservation committees, organize regional and international conservation workshops, and provide opportunities to learn new skills related to conservation biology for students, professionals, professors, and practitioners.

News
The Iran Chapter is planning to launch the chapter and hold a workshop on the application of technology in conservation at Kurdistan University in December 2017.
The chapter now has a membership and communications officers. Increasing members of the chapter is one of our main goals right now.
Currently, we are planning to form the invasive species group in order to reduce negative impacts of alien species on native wildlife and ecosystems of Iran.
